Mandla Fort
Mandla was the
Gadha of Maravi gonds. It is very much evident from the battle
between the Akbar’s army and the army of Queen Durgavati, very
clearly mentioned in the great historian Abul Fazal's famous book ‘Akbar
Nama', who was one of the Navratna of Akbar’s Assembly. If you
take an insight on the British population survey, it is very much
evident that it was the land of royal gonds. And that Mandla Fort was
built by them. Gadha Mandla was the extension of Gadha JABALPUR. The
actual center was Gadha JABALPUR. Matter of fact is that they were
very rich at their peak time, It is evident form that, that many times
coins of gold and silver were found and are still found in that
particular region and you can hear these kind of news and rumors. But
